de interacción gráfica
originalidad en
la cultura de la copia
The publication entitled “(Encuentros) de interacción gráfica. Originalidad en la cultura de la copia” was born as a result of the organisation of the lecture series of the same name, held from 14-16 December 2011 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra.
It includes contributions by the main researchers of the project “Originality in Copy Culture”, from the CA Contemporary Graphic Research Group at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (Chihuahua, Mexico) and members of the dx5 Group.
The project’s main researchers Carles Méndez Llopis and Hortensia Mínguez García, Directors of the CA Contemporary Graphic Research Group, were invited to give lectures at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra.
A research meeting was held in parallel between members of both teams to plan new proposals and future international collaborations. Several teachers from the dx5 group (Ana Soler, Kako Castro, Anne Heyvaert and José Andrés Santiago) participated in the lecture series, whose starting point was the observation and questioning of the concept of “originality” in the digital era, wherein every object, text, and idea can be over-reproduced and disseminated and where copies can be originals and the original can be a copy, thus providing a starting point for a theoretical confrontation and practical coexistence. This publication arises to give continuity to the issues raised and to offer a platform to expand the topics addressed in the theoretical sessions.
