Marco Moreira is a Portuguese artist who lives in La Coruña in Spain, finishing her PhDa Doctorate in Creation and Research in Contemporary Art from the Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Vigo, in Spain. He has graduated and did the master in painting from the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal. He has experience in the areas of Multimedia, Illustration, Animation, Drawing, Photography and Visual Arts, highlighting the Animation Course in drawing completed in 2009 at the Centro de Imagem, Estudos, Arte e Multimédia de Faculdade de Belas Artes from Lisbon. He received a scholarship in the Erasmus program at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de La Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, in 2009/10.
He participates regularly in multiple individual and collective exhibitions, residences and editorial projects. He received several awards and scholarships, such as an artist scholarship at the CREADORES 2018 residence of La Térmica in Malaga, Spain, a grant at the residence of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Gas Natural Fenosa (MAC) in La Coruña, Spain and also an artist-in-residence at the Viarco Fábrica de Lapis in S. João da Madeira, Portugal, in 2012. He is co-author of the ArtGraf nº1 product marketed and produced by this company since 2016.
He is represented by the Modulo – Centro Difusor de Arte gallery in Lisbon and your work is present in various national and international collections. He mostly develops drawing, sculpture, photography and installation.
