Visual artist, illustrator and comic book author, he holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo. He trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra and at the Accademia Pietro Vannucci in Perugia (Italy), and was awarded with the special doctoral prize at the University of Vigo, where he currently teaches.

His main areas of research are travel and the urban journey as an aesthetic experience (particularly the travel comics), and various fields of alternative comics, such as self-publishing and experimental and expanded-field comics.

He has held exhibitions both nationally and internationally, including Raccontare un monte d’oro (Spanish Academy in Rome, 2023), BD de l’Akrasie (Paris, 2015), Iconville (2012) and Visiones de Babilonia (2010).

He has received, amongst others, artistic grants from the Casa Velázquez in Madrid, the Colegio de España in Paris and the Accademia di Spagna a Roma. He has also been awarded prizes in competitions such as the Ministerio de Cultura’s Premios a la creación literaria (2021), the Isaac Díaz Pardo Prize (2013), Xuventude Crea (2010 and 2012) and Novos Valores (2009).

As a comic book author, in 2023 he contributed to Contar un monte de oro (Nuevo Nueve); in 2018 he published O puño e a letra, a collective comic reinterpretation of the poetic work of Yolanda Castaño (awarded Best Comic Published in Galicia that year). His graphic novel Punto de fuga was awarded a prize by the Xunta de Galicia.
