Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in Designing and Engraving, and a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Seville. Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Vigo, since 2000. Her artistic and research activity is not restricted to any specific field but is carried out in parallel in many international centres: Kyoto City University of Art, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts, National Chiayi University (Taiwan), Toronto York University, École de Arts Decoratifs in Strasbourg, Kupferstichkabinett Museum in Basel, College of Art at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scuola Internationale di Gráfica d’Arte in Florence, and Istituto Nazionale per la Gráfica d’Arte de Roma. She actively participates in important artistic meetings and spaces.

Her work is present in the contemporary art scenario in Spain through individual and group exhibitions, as well as in important private collections, institutions and museums. She has received several awards, among which are the National Chalcography Prize for Engraving (2001), Mention of Honour at the Biennale de Liège and at the XIII Ángel Andrade Plastic Arts Contest of Ciudad Real (2005), Women’s Art of the Junta de Andalucía, the Andalusian Prize for Serial Art, the X National Prize for Engraving of the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving in Marbella (MGEC), the Antonio Pérez de Cuenca International Foundation Prize (2002) and the First GENERATION’2001 PRIZE, among others. She was also awarded several scholarships and grants for artistic creation and research, such as the FENOSA Scholarship for Artistic Creation Abroad (2005-2006), the Junta de Andalucía (2001) grant for Contemporary Artistic Creation, the Spanish Academy in Rome scholarship (2001), the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró scholarship (1999) and the Madrid Casa de Velázquez scholarship in 1998.
